1979
Tauranga office opens

In 1979, BCHF opened an office in Tauranga to support their work with Tauranga District Council on water and wastewater projects. One of the earliest jobs recorded for the office was redesigning the Ruahihi Power Scheme in the early 80s, which was one of the biggest jobs being undertaken in New Zealand at the time.

What was initially a one-person office is now home to over 250 professionals working across a full range of markets. The team have been involved in many local infrastructure projects, game-changing buildings such as the University of Waikato (Tauranga) campus and local staff lead projects in the North Pacific, particularly around education and health care.
